The more things change, the more they stay the same.

This is a post I wrote a couple of years ago it was in January and as we know that is one if the key times of year for Diet posts. It seems that #DietCulture is alive and well post #Covid19 so now seemed like as good a time as any to share it.

If you are anything like me the adverts for get “thin” quick programs and products have started filling up your newsfeed. 🙁

Thinking about this reminded me of a time in my teens when I was walking home from my part time job and two of my friends had come to meet me. As we walked home I was telling them about the latest fad diet I was on and they jokingly started to chant at me “we love you the way you are” the laughter of that moment and that phrase thankfully lasted longer than the fad diet and for many years we joked about it. 😂

However years later I also realised just how powerful the message was. My #bebalanced Program has grown out of my own experience of healing my thoughts & beliefs around food and dealing with the emotional weight and baggage I was carrying. ⚖️ 📦

Our bodies are amazing, they are already perfect (just think of all they do for us) but when was the last time you looked in mirror and allowed that to be your first thought. 🤔

What if instead of trying to motivate ourselves by have to’s, should’s & self criticism? we were motivated by self love, self compassion and a desire to be the healthiest and happiest we could be. Can you imagine the difference?

What if we could love ourselves just the way we are?

What if we could love ourselves like our friends love us?

What if we could be our own best friend?

When love becomes our motivator everything changes ❤️ We exercise because we want to be healthy & strong ☺️💪🏻. We do exercise that we really enjoy 😊

We eat food that nourishes and supports our body. 🥕🥗🥑🍇🍉🍌🍏🍎🍊🍋🥦🌽

We keep hydrated 🚰

We rest and allow ourselves time to recharge. 🛏 ⏱🛁 Not because we HAVE TO or we SHOULD but because we love yourselves enough to WANT to. ❤️ Let your friends know you love them just the way they are. Love is infectious they might just catch it ❤️👫👭👬❤️ #LoveYourselfToGoodHealth #WeLoveYouTheWayYouAre

Before me and my husband got married we had this great sex life that i enjoyed every time we made love and this was one of the many million reasons why i loved him. This great sex life was soon taken away from us when the embarrassing problem of weak erection and premature ejaculation came in, and due to this reason i was unable to conceive for 3 yrs after marriage because my husband was temporarily impotent and his sex drive and performance was affected by this problems. Over the years we tried a lot of drugs but to no avail, and i told myself that i can no longer bear the pain. I was very lucky to come across…
